Wow. It's kinda hard to think that in less than 24 hours...I will be 15. It's just crazy. I mean, you guys remember last year when I was freaking out about my birthday months ahead of time. But now...it just kind of seams like it came really fast. I think I have only posted about my birthday once before this one this year. Hmm...Anyway, So I decided on my party! And I think it is a really good idea, cause it will help the teens that are going to a talent competition in May.
Okay, let me try to explain this the best that I can.
Every February, my youth group will go to a talent competition. You can sing, act, play an instrument, pretty much whatever you want. Well, that was last week. And the good news is that, every teen in our group went on to the next level!
But there is a problem...
It is $100 for each person to go...And their are 16 of us teens...which means that we have to raise $1,600 for everyone to go.
So...
Our Church is having this thing called the Mom to Mom sale. What that is, is a huge yard sale type thing that we do at our church once a year. People from the town can rent a table, and sell kids things. And they get to keep the money they make. Well, the teens rented a table. And the money that we make on the stuff we sell is going to go to the Talent fund.
Okay, here is where the party comes in.
So, I thought that a way we could raise money, is my selling hand made stuff. So...on March 12th, all the girls from my youth group, (Which is about 10) Will be able to come over to my house, and make crafts. Like, one of the girls at my church is really good at making these flower clip things. And I love making Owl stuff. So, people will bring things that we can make, and the whole day we will make things to raise money for us teens.
Does it sound like a good idea?
