My Bedroom Updated

Well, the giveaway was a success! The movie at this moment is being shipped to it's new owner! I am hoping to do another giveaway soon, so keep checking here for news.

So, I few years ago, I posted some pictures of my bedroom. I look back at those pictures, and can't believe I actually kept my room like that! So, I decided it was time for a change.

In 2010, my dad helped me paint my room. I chose a light green. We only painted 2 walls, because my bed is really heavy, and we weren't going to move it. But in the next year or so, we are going to put wood floor in our bedrooms, and when we do that, We will have to move the bed, and then we will paint the other 2 walls.

So, today I decided to take some pictures of my bedroom now. It is pretty clean at the moment, so I figured now would be the best time.

When you first walk in, the bed is what you see. It is a large, oak bunk bed. I don't share my bedroom, so no one ever sleeps on the top bunk, unless I am having someone over to spend the night. I really don't like it, because it collects junk. Maybe one day I will get a new bed, but for now, this one is good enough. :)

On the left side of the room, you will see my bookshelf. It has my American Girl and Nancy Drew books on it. It is very small, but I keep all my other books on the larger shelves downstairs.

Across from the bed is my dresser. It is kinda cluttered. I need to get rid of some of my Bath and Body Works things, but whenever I get rid of some, I end up buying more...

The last large piece of furniture in my bedroom is my desk. (Which is where I am sitting now) I keep my computer here most of the time, along with my dolls, Nancy Drew things, and CD's. (The CD's are in the cabinet)

Going back to the bed, I have several Friends who keep me company. My little owl buddies, along with Pascal.

My nightstand is pretty simple A lamp. clock, and tissue box. Above it, is a picture I drew of Rapunzel. I thought it fit the room theme pretty well.

A closer look at my bookshelf shows that I have many other owl things. Also, my CD player, which is very old. I have been listening to the Brave Soundtrack. :)

Above my bookshelf is some of my posters. I got the Beauty and the Beast one threw Disney Movie Rewards. The thing is huge! It is like, the size of an actual Movie poster. I love it. I also have a Brave poster I got at Walmart for five dollars.

Between my bookshelf and dresser are my Disney Dolls. The large Belle, Pocahontas, and Rapunzel are Animator Dolls from the Disney Store. The Large Merida I got at Target, and the little Tangled Dolls were also Disney store brand. The Brave bag I got at Subway.

My Dresser has some of my Disney Snow Globes, a lava lamp, my Animator Merida doll, and a bunch of Bath and Body Works stuff. (Take a look at my PocketBac collection!)

I made this earring holder from a sewing hoop. I got the idea from an old issue of American Girl.

My desk has my laptop, and Nancy Drew things at it.

On top of it are my Historic American Girl Dolls.

On the bed to the right of it are my Girl of the Year Dolls, my JLY doll, and my two minis.

My favorite Collection, my Nancy Drew games! :)

My other Nancy Drew things that have to do with the games.

And finally, my Princess books. I love coloring!

So, that is my room! Sorry some of the pictures are sideways. I am going to try to fix them.

Thanks for reading!!

The Room Redo Part 2

Do you guys remember a few months ago when I posted about my room being re-done? Well, on Saturday, my dad and I went to the store and bought the paint. It was called, "green grapes", but it doesn't look like green grapes. It is darker than that. What it reminds me of is what glow in the dark paint looks like. But don't worry, it isn't. :) lol Anyway, so on Monday, we (my dad) started painting. I painted a little corner, but it wasn't as fun as you would think painting is. :) I was surprised how fast we got it done. We started about 7:30 in the morning, and my dad was completely finished by the time I got home from the work I do at the library. I got home about 4:15pm. So, now all the walls are done, and I LOVE the way it turned out! I have some pictures, but not of it completely done, since my room still isn't done. Most of my stuff is still in the basement. The only thing still in my room is my desk, which is where I am now, my bed, and my dresser. :) And my bed is the only thing in the right place. Everything else is in the wrong places. :) So, once I get it all put back, I will post pictures of it completely done. But for now, here are my pictures that I put on my Picasa. Hope you like them!!!! ~Sammy

The Room Redo Part 1

Hello everyone! So, today is that last day to enter my giveaway. You have until 11:59pm tonight to enter. I will choose the two winners tomorrow morning. Oh! And if you haven't guessed who the girls are trying to look like, you can still guess to try to win their award. (It is the post under this one. :) Okay, well, as some of you may or may not know, I have been planning to redo my room for awhile. I decided the color, the theme, everything! Well, the color of the room is going to be a light green. I was going to do purple and green, but I decided that just green would be better. Also, the theme of my room is going to be Owls and Vintage. (If only I could find vintage looking owls!) lol So, last night my parents and I started planning. We will be working one wall at a time, and so last night, I started on this wall...

Well, I took all the posters down, and the wall looked so weird. :) Anyway, yesterday morning, we went looking for some "vintage" looking things at the craft store, and we found these cute tin signs. One that says, "Always Kiss me Goodnight" and the other says, "Excellence is not skill, it's attitude" I also put up a little shelf With some little things on it. (I mini piano, a rainbow fish, and little doll, and a small change holder.) Then, I moved my calender over on that wall, and my Kit poster near the bottom. And here is what it looked like after.

Big difference, right? lol but we are not finished yet. The right corner of the wall is still very bear. So after we paint, my dad is going to put up some bookshelves. I can't wait to see how it turns out. Thanks for reading!!!!! ~Sammy
