My Bedroom Updated

Well, the giveaway was a success! The movie at this moment is being shipped to it's new owner! I am hoping to do another giveaway soon, so keep checking here for news.

So, I few years ago, I posted some pictures of my bedroom. I look back at those pictures, and can't believe I actually kept my room like that! So, I decided it was time for a change.

In 2010, my dad helped me paint my room. I chose a light green. We only painted 2 walls, because my bed is really heavy, and we weren't going to move it. But in the next year or so, we are going to put wood floor in our bedrooms, and when we do that, We will have to move the bed, and then we will paint the other 2 walls.

So, today I decided to take some pictures of my bedroom now. It is pretty clean at the moment, so I figured now would be the best time.

When you first walk in, the bed is what you see. It is a large, oak bunk bed. I don't share my bedroom, so no one ever sleeps on the top bunk, unless I am having someone over to spend the night. I really don't like it, because it collects junk. Maybe one day I will get a new bed, but for now, this one is good enough. :)

 On the left side of the room, you will see my bookshelf. It has my American Girl and Nancy Drew books on it. It is very small, but I keep all my other books on the larger shelves downstairs. 

        Across from the bed is my dresser. It is kinda cluttered. I need to get rid of some of my Bath and Body Works things, but whenever I get rid of some, I end up buying more...

The last large piece of furniture in my bedroom is my desk. (Which is where I am sitting now) I keep my computer here most of the time, along with my dolls, Nancy Drew things, and CD's. (The CD's are in the cabinet)

 Going back to the bed, I have several Friends who keep me company. My little owl buddies, along with Pascal. 

My nightstand is pretty simple A lamp. clock, and tissue box. Above it, is a picture I drew of Rapunzel. I thought it fit the room theme pretty well.

A closer look at my bookshelf shows that I have many other owl things. Also, my CD player, which is very old. I have been listening to the Brave Soundtrack. :)

Above my bookshelf is some of my posters. I got the Beauty and the Beast one threw Disney Movie Rewards. The thing is huge! It is like, the size of an actual Movie poster. I love it. I also have a Brave poster I got at Walmart for five dollars. 

Between my bookshelf and dresser are my Disney Dolls. The large Belle, Pocahontas, and Rapunzel are Animator Dolls from the Disney Store. The Large Merida I got at Target, and the little Tangled Dolls were also Disney store brand. The Brave bag I got at Subway.

My Dresser has some of my Disney Snow Globes, a lava lamp, my Animator Merida doll, and a bunch of Bath and Body Works stuff. (Take a look at my PocketBac collection!)

I made this earring holder from a sewing hoop. I got the idea from an old issue of American Girl. 

My desk has my laptop, and Nancy Drew things at it.

On top of it are my Historic American Girl Dolls.

On the bed to the right of it are my Girl of the Year Dolls, my JLY doll, and my two minis.

And finally, my Princess books. I love coloring!

Hey All!!

Anyway, about a week ago, I found a picture of the brand new American Girl doll! Her name is Caroline Abbott. We have known about her name for a few months, but we had no idea what she looked like...until now.

We all had many ideas about what she looked like. Since the last name Abbot is a Scottish last name, I think most of us amused that she would have red hair. Well, we were wrong. I do like the way she looks though. I was hoping for a doll without curly hair, because they are no fun to style. (My Lanie's hair is a mess because I tried to brush it)

She looks a little...barbie-ish. The whole blond hair and blue eyes. Which I mean is fine, but couldn't American Girl come up with something more original? She kinda looks like a Lanie and Elizabeth put together.

I am not sure if I will ever get her. I already got 2 dolls this year I wasn't expecting on getting. And if I did get another doll, it would probably be McKenna, because I have all the other GOTY since 2009. Also, before I do make any decision, I want to see her whole collection. That might help me make up my mind.

I am looking forward to reading her books though. The War of 1812 played a huge part in the town that I live. Part of the war was actually fought right here. So, reading the books might give me a gimps on what might have happened back then.

But, we are going to have to wait until September to see her whole story. Until then, we will just have to imagine what it's like.

My blog's 3rd birthday!!!!



Today, 3 years ago, I was on my email, when something popped up on my screen suggesting me to Blogger. I wasn't sure what it was, so my brother and I looked into it. That's when I saw how cool blogs were. It was like a journal online, where anyone can read, or comment, or follow you!

The Long Awaited Trip

It's been a few weeks since I have been on here. Sorry for ignoring you guys! Anyway, we got back from Illinois about a week ago. The trip was a lot of fun! The talent part didn't go as well as I hoped, but I won't get into that.

My favorite part of the trip was on Wednesday. We spent the whole day shopping in Chicago, which was AWESOME!!! We went to a bunch of stores. Puma, Apple, Disney, Lego, and of course, American Girl. But before I tell you what I got there, let's start at the beginning.

We left for the trip at about 6:30am. We stopped a few times to stretch our legs, and eat lunch, so we didn't get there until about 10:00am (11:00est) We went to our apartment first, to unpack our stuff. The apartment is amazing! It is right down town Chicago! I wish we lived there all year long!

And this is right outside my window. :) Awesome, isn't it?

Their is a lot more the the apartment than just the one bedroom. Their is a master bedroom, three bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. So we all had a little space. :)

So, after getting unpacked, we started shopping! We first went to American Girl. This was my fifth time going to an American Girl Place. It was really nice this time because it was empty, since we went on a school day. There was probably a total of 20 people in that store. And that's counting employees!

The mall that American Girl is in was very smart to put it right next to a Lego store. My brother's and dad we entertained the whole time my mom and I shopped!

I still had no idea which doll I wanted. I walked through the whole store about three times. I finally narrowed it down to two...Kit, and Josefina. 

I loved Kit! She is one of those that it seems everyone has. Many of my friends were surprised to learn that I didn't have Kit. The reason I always turned her down, was because of her hair. It is very cute, but I like to style hair, and with really short hair, it is hard to do that.

Josefina was my other choice. I always thought she was cute, but I heard that her hair gets frizzy, and like I said, I want to be able to style the hair. 

It was a very hard choice but I finally decided. I was getting......Both!

I know, I know. I sound spoiled. When I can't decided, I get them both. But I will let you know that the ONLY reason I got both was because my mom loved Kit. She would not let me get two doll if I didn't get Kit. So, that made the decision easier. Also, I DO have to pay for both dolls. I am not getting them for free. I have to work for the dolls. And all my allowance for the next few months are going to pay them off. I really only have to pay one off, because I had the money for one doll when we went on the trip.

Anyway, I am very happy with my decision. And to my pleasure, Kit's hair is very fun to play with, and Josefina's hair isn't frizzy! (Yet)

Anyway, that was the hilight of my trip. I also got to hold the world's largest Hershey Bar. $40.00 and 12,000 calories worth of the best chocolate ever. :)

So...that was the long awaited trip to Chicago. I can't wait to go back! Hopefully next year we will do the same thing again.

Tomorrow is going to be an exciting day for my family. We are leaving for Chicago! I am very, excited! I haven't been to Chicago since 2009, and I am looking forward to it. We are staying at an Apartment right across the street from the Water Tower Place, which is where American Girl is. And yes, I am getting a doll.

I still haven't decided which one. At first, it was McKenna, then I changed my mind to a My American Girl. Now I'm looking a Marie-Grace. To tell you the truth, I have no idea which one I am going to pick. But I promise that I will let you all know who I get, once I get her.

Well, I really can't write much more. We are leaving early in the morning, and I still have to help my mom finish packing and cleaning. So...bye!

American Girl Place Decision

Hello fellow Bloggers!

I haven't posted in about 2 weeks for a pretty good reason. School. Remember my last post where I said I was going to try to finish all my school in one week. And well, I did it! In fact, I got done 2 days earlier that I expected! It was a very long week, but I am so glad I am done for the year. :) No more school until September! :)

Anyway, I am very excited to say that in 12 days, we are going to Chicago! And the even best part...Our apartment is right across the street from the American Girl Place!! And I mean, right across. Like, I can see it from my bedroom window! :) I am so excited! I am hoping to get a doll when we go, but I'm not sure if I will be able to or not. But you better believe that if I am aloud to get one, I will! :)

The only problem is...I don't know which doll to get. I was planning on getting McKenna, but I kinda want to get another one. So...here are my favorites, and maybe you guys can let me know which one you like the best!

Today, the girls got an invitation in the mail for a "Welcome Fall Costume Party" They were all so excited, and started working on their costumes right away. Kirsten, Chrissa, and Lanie just finished them. They were so excited, that they wanted me to post pictures of them on here. But...They want you all to guess who they are supposed to be. They made up clues for you to use to figure it out. And whoever gets them all right, gets a special award that they made. So, all you have to do is this,

Vacation: Day 1: New York

Hey Everyone! It's me. And I am very bored. Right now, we are on our way to New York. We left this morning at 6:30am, and have been on the road ever since. We just left Cleveland. But we are almost in Pennsylvania. It is 10:15am, And my parents said we should be their by 3:30pm. I am ready to be there. I have a stomach ache from the car ride. (I hate sitting in the back seat) And no, I am not on my blog right now. I am on word pad, so when I do get into Internet range, I will post this on my blog. Oh! And I am really excited, because I know what doll, or should I say dolls I am getting!! lol Okay, so since I am bored, I will tell you the whole thing. :) I really wanted Felicity or Elizabeth because they are going to be archived. But...I don't have enough money for ether of them. So my mom told me that I could get one this week, but not be able to open her until Christmas. But I wasn't sure which one I really wanted. but my dad gave us each $35.00 to spend on vacation.So, my mom said that I can get one doll for Christmas, and then with my $35.00, I will put it towards another doll, and she will pay for the rest of it. But, I won't be able to open her until Christmas ether. So...I am fine with that! So on Saturday, I will get 2 new dolls. I promise that I will take pics of the AG place. And of my future dolls, Felicity and Elizabeth! :) Well, I will try to post this once we get to the Hotel. I will try to update you all on our trip. If I have time, everyday I will post about what I did that day. So, tonight, after we get to our Hotel, we are going to Cracker Barrel, because my dad has gift cards, then we are going to an Ice Cream Place. Then probably back to the hotel to go swimming. Hopefully, it will be fun. I have to get off now, because my laptop is about to die on me. Anyway, I will post this ASAP. Thanks for reading!!! ~Sammy

My Dress for a Tea

Hey guys!!! Hope you all had a great fourth of July! Mine was awesome! Anyway, I'm super excited about Saturday, because we are having an American Girl tea party at my church. Me and four other girls are dressing up like some of the American girls. I'm dressing up like Rebecca. And my grandma made me a Rebecca dress. It looks just like her meet dress. Here are some pics.







The dress is awesome! I love it! My grandma did a great job. I will post more about the tea later. Thanks for reading!!!

BFF Ball-A Photo Story

Okay, so, On Quinlyn's Blog, (www.quinlynsblog.blogspot.com) she is having a Photo Story contest. You have to make a photo story about Summer Vacation. So, I decided to make one about something my dolls did on Summer Break. So here it is. I hope you all like it!!!!




"So what do you think of my new outfit?" Asked Hailey one sunny Friday afternoon. Lanie and Chrissa, who were looking at Magazines, looked up to see Hailey in a rather large Tiger's Jersey.



Chrissa and Lanie both held back a laugh as they saw "Hailey's new outfit."
"What is that?" Asked Chrissa. "It's a Detroit Tiger's Jersey!" Hailey answered Happily. "They are my favorite Baseball team. And one, day I'm going go see them play. What are you two doing?"



"Reading American Girl Magazines. Summer issues. But it is getting very boring. I want to do something fun." Lanie nodded in agreement.



"I'll show you what I want to do." Said Hailey as she climbed up on the desk chair, and onto the desk where she got out the Laptop.




She typed in the search bar, "Comerica Park" And up came the picture that Hailey was looking for.




"Here we go." Said Hailey as she looked longingly at the picture in front of her. "That's where I wanna go. To Comerica Park, to see the Tiger's play baseball." She turned off the computer, and walked over to the window. "I would just love to go out and play ball right now."



"Then why don't you?" Asked Lanie. "I can't play catch by myself." Sighed Hailey sadly. "I'll play with you." Answered Lanie. Hailey turned around with a bright smile on her face. "You will?"
"Sure."
"I'll play too." Said Chrissa. "But I just want you to know that I'm horrable at sports." Hailey ran over to the other girls and gave them each a big hug. "Oh, thank you guys so much!" I'll go get my glove and ball!"


"I'll go get your ball for you," Said Chrissa. "I know where it is."
"Great, thanks." Said Hailey as she went to go get her Mitt.




Once the girls got outside, Hailey asked Chrissa, "Do you have the ball?"
"Sure do!" Said Chrissa as she handed Hailey her bag. Once Hailey had the bag in her hand, she knew that something was wrong.




"Oh No!" Sighed Hailey as she took the ball out of the bag. "Chrissa, this is a basketball, not a baseball. We can't use this, it's way to big!"
Chrissa sighed, "Oh, I'm sorry Hailey. I told you I didn't know anything about sports. Will you forgive me?" Hailey sighed. "Yeah, It's okay Chrissa."



"Hey, guys," Started Lanie. "Look over there." Lanie pointed to the other side of the yard.




There, beond the trees was a basketball hoop. "Awesome!" Exclaimed Hailey as she ran over to hoop.



But Once she got there, she realised that it wasn't as awesome as she thought. "Aw, Man!" She sighed. The Basketball hoop was way to big for a doll to use it. "I really wanted to play a sport." Hailey sighed as she kicked the basketball.



The ball rolled over, and kicked Lanie in the foot, which gave Lanie a good Idea. Lanie kicked the ball back over to Hailey, who looked up from her pouting, to Lanie smiling. Hailey, kicked the ball back to Lanie, and soon, a new game started up. Lanie kicked it to Hailey, and then Hailey back to Lanie. The girls were having so much fun! "Hailey!" Lanie shouted, "Go Long!" Lanie kicked the ball as hard as she could. It went flying in the air and landed right on Chrissa knocking her over.



"Chrissa!" Both girls ran over to her. "Ohhh..." Sighed Chrissa as she sat up. "What did you do that for?"





"I didn't mean to," Started Lanie. "Here let me you up." Lanie held out her hand for Chrissa. But instead of pulling herself up, she pulled Lanie down!



Hailey Threw herself down next to Chrissa, as the three girls laughed happily.




The Day haden't turned out the way they planned, but they still have a lot of fun. They couldn't wait till they could show Kirsten and Julie their new game, BFF Ball.
