Anyway, about a week ago, I found a picture of the brand new American Girl doll! Her name is Caroline Abbott. We have known about her name for a few months, but we had no idea what she looked like...until now.

We all had many ideas about what she looked like. Since the last name Abbot is a Scottish last name, I think most of us amused that she would have red hair. Well, we were wrong. I do like the way she looks though. I was hoping for a doll without curly hair, because they are no fun to style. (My Lanie's hair is a mess because I tried to brush it)

She looks a little...barbie-ish. The whole blond hair and blue eyes. Which I mean is fine, but couldn't American Girl come up with something more original? She kinda looks like a Lanie and Elizabeth put together.

I am not sure if I will ever get her. I already got 2 dolls this year I wasn't expecting on getting. And if I did get another doll, it would probably be McKenna, because I have all the other GOTY since 2009. Also, before I do make any decision, I want to see her whole collection. That might help me make up my mind.

I am looking forward to reading her books though. The War of 1812 played a huge part in the town that I live. Part of the war was actually fought right here. So, reading the books might give me a gimps on what might have happened back then.

But, we are going to have to wait until September to see her whole story. Until then, we will just have to imagine what it's like.

More Giveaway Information...

Hey guys!!

Well, it is only Tuesday, and I have been amazed on how many people have signed up for the giveaway! I never expected this many people in only a few days!

I did notice, however that I had more people follow my blog then enter the giveaway. I am very happy that you decided to follow my blog, but I need to let you know that you are not entered in the giveaway unless you actually sign up.

There are 2 ways you can do that. You can sign up by writing me a comment in one of my blog posts. It doesn't matter which one, I will get it. All you have to do is say something like this..."Hi, my name is ___ And I would like to sign up for your giveaway. I am a follower of your blog." And that's all you have to do! You are then automatically entered!

Another way to enter, is to go to the top of my blog, and click on the page, "3rd Birthday Giveaway" If you do that, there is a place where you can sign up via RaffleCopter, which is just an easier way to keep track of how many times you entered. But like I said, whichever way you decide to sign up is fine.

And remember, if you answer the question, "Who is your favorite Girl of the Year Character?" Your name is put in the drawing a second time! You can also get your name in again by Tweeting about the giveaway, and/or blogging about it. So, you can enter up to 5 times.

Birthday Giveaway is Here!! (Please Read)

Okay guys!!!

Today is the day!!

My blog's 3rd birthday!!!!



Today, 3 years ago, I was on my email, when something popped up on my screen suggesting me to Blogger. I wasn't sure what it was, so my brother and I looked into it. That's when I saw how cool blogs were. It was like a journal online, where anyone can read, or comment, or follow you!
I went to ask my mom if I could make one. And after thinking about it, she came back and said yes! 

I spent hours making my blog look perfect. And I believe the first day I had this blog, I posted about 3 times. I am actually surprised that I have kept it up this long. I know it will be a lot of fun to be able to look back in a few years to see all that I have done since my first post on July 28th, 2009.

Anyway, it's time to get on with the Giveaway! Yesterday, I mentioned it was worth $25.00, and that it was the biggest giveaway I had ever had on here! You might have guessed what it was, but if you haven't, here it is!!

3rd Birthday Giveaway!

Well, the fair is on Sunday! I am super excited! The fair is always so much fun! You can read about my experiences at the fair here. -> 2009,  2010, and 2011.

I will be sure to take lots of pictures to share with you.

Anyway...I have an announcement!!!

Tomorrow marks the 3rd birthday of this blog! It is so weird to think I was just about to start 8th grade when this blog started...And I'm going into 11th grade next month. O_0 But, I decided that I am going to do something to celebrate. And that is...a giveaway! I am very excited to show you what I will be giving away.

I have had several giveaways before on here.

Back in 2009, I gave away an Addy American Girl McDonald's toy.
In February 2010, I gave away a purse with some girly things in it.
I had a doll jewelry giveaway summer 2010.
I also had a Christmas giveaway, but ended up cancelling that one, because I didn't have enough people sign up.

But let's hope that doesn't happen for this giveaway. This one is different than all my other giveaways, because I spent $25.00 on this prize. That is more than all the giveaways I've had combined!

But since you don't usually open birthday presents the day before your birthday, you're going to have to come back tomorrow to see the "present" I'm going to give to one of you.

The Room Redo Part 1

Hello everyone! So, today is that last day to enter my giveaway. You have until 11:59pm tonight to enter. I will choose the two winners tomorrow morning. Oh! And if you haven't guessed who the girls are trying to look like, you can still guess to try to win their award. (It is the post under this one. :) Okay, well, as some of you may or may not know, I have been planning to redo my room for awhile. I decided the color, the theme, everything! Well, the color of the room is going to be a light green. I was going to do purple and green, but I decided that just green would be better. Also, the theme of my room is going to be Owls and Vintage. (If only I could find vintage looking owls!) lol So, last night my parents and I started planning. We will be working one wall at a time, and so last night, I started on this wall...



Well, I took all the posters down, and the wall looked so weird. :) Anyway, yesterday morning, we went looking for some "vintage" looking things at the craft store, and we found these cute tin signs. One that says, "Always Kiss me Goodnight" and the other says, "Excellence is not skill, it's attitude" I also put up a little shelf With some little things on it. (I mini piano, a rainbow fish, and little doll, and a small change holder.) Then, I moved my calender over on that wall, and my Kit poster near the bottom. And here is what it looked like after.



Big difference, right? lol but we are not finished yet. The right corner of the wall is still very bear. So after we paint, my dad is going to put up some bookshelves. I can't wait to see how it turns out. Thanks for reading!!!!! ~Sammy

Last Day on our Trip

Hey everyone!!! So, I have 7 people signed up for my giveaway, that means that I will give away 6 doll necklaces. Hey Guys!!! Okay, so right now, I have in my lap a box. In the box is seven slips of paper. And on the slips of paper are the names of the people who entered my giveaway for the purse, hair brush, and lip balm. I also put in a pink bracelet that says love on it. (I already have one just like it, and I don't need two.) So, I haven't drawn the name yet, but I'm about to. :)
